Harmony counters are a type of counter introduced in Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. They act as an upkeep tracker allowing higher mana cost creatures to be searched for as more turns past.

Description

Harmony counter first appeared on <c>TInstrument of the Bards/c> in Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. One of the Harmony counters is placed on the artifact on each upkeep. It then has an activated ability that allows the player to search their library for a creature with mana value equal to the number of the counters on it and place that in their hand. If the creature is legendary, it also creatures a Treasure token. The counters represent the harmony of the song increasing each turn the longer the instrument is played making it able to call forth more powerful creatures.
