Storage counters are used by storage lands to store surplus mana for use in later turns.

Storage lands

Originally, City of Shadows from The Dark used counters. It was given errata to use storage counters. It is the first land to use storage counters.

Later Crucible of the Spirit Dragon from Fate Reforged and Mage-Ring Network from Magic Origins were added to the list.

Storage land cycles

Three cycles of storage lands were printed:

Fallen Empires
Bottomless Vault, Dwarven Hold, Hollow Trees, Icatian Store and Sand Silos.
Mercadian Masques
Fountain of Cho, Mercadian Bazaar, Rushwood Grove, Saprazzan Cove and Subterranean Hangar.
Time Spiral
Calciform Pools, Dreadship Reef, Fungal Reaches, Molten Slagheap and Saltcrusted Steppe
