Component counter are a type of counter introduced in Forgotten Realms Commander as a reference to the Dungeons & Dragons concept of a component pouch that spellcaster's kept their components or foci for spell casting.

Description

Component counters first appeared on Component Pouch in Forgotten Realms Commander. It had an activated ability that made use of dice rolling to either add 1 or 2 component counters on the artifact. Each component counter could then be converted to two mana of different colors via another activated ability.
