Memory counters are a type of counter introduced in Assassin's Creed.

Description

Memory counters first appeared on Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in Assassin's Creed. When Altair attacks, he can exile an assassin creature from the player's graveyard. Then a token copy of that assassin is created tapped and attacking alongside Altair. It then becomes exiled at the end of combat. This represents Altair invoking the memory of the assassin to temporarily fight with its strength.
