Foreshadow counters are a type of counter introduced in Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths. They buildup acting as a resource for an ability.
Description
Foreshadow counters first appeared on Ominous Seas in Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths. One of the counters is added to the enchantment every time the player draws a card. It then had an ability to remove 8 of the counters to create a 8/8 blue Kraken creature token. In this case the counters foreshadow the appearence of the Kraken.
