Scroll counters are a type of counter introduced in Planechase. It has thus far excusably been used on a Plane card.

Description

Scroll counters first appeared on Aretopolis in Planechase. The Aretopolis was a famed museum with the Scroll counters being markers for its abilities. It gained a Scroll counter on each upkeep and whenever the player planeswalked to it. The player would then gain life for each Scroll counter on it. It also gained a Scroll counter when the Chaos symbol is rolled while also allowing cards to be drawn for the number of the counters on it.
