Map of Precinct Six

Precinct Six is a bustling industrial and mercantile district in the Tenth District, known for its large warehouses, busy streets, and working-class neighborhoods. It serves as a vital hub for the transport and storage of raw materials and finished goods, connecting the city to surrounding regions. The precinct is a hotspot for both legitimate commerce and illicit activities, with various guilds vying for control over its resources. After dark, undead and undercity creatures emerge, adding a layer of danger to an already gritty environment.

Description

Located in the southwestern part of the Tenth District, Precinct Six borders Precinct One in the east, Precinct Four in the northeast, and Precinct Five in the northwest. It does not border Precinct Two or Precinct Three.

Precinct Six is a utilitarian hub of commerce and industry in the Tenth District, dominated by large warehouses, busy thoroughfares, and modest worker tenements. Wide cobblestone streets accommodate beasts and constructs transporting raw materials from beyond the district and shipping finished goods back out. This constant flow of trade keeps the precinct bustling, while the nondescript warehouses serve as discreet meeting points for both legitimate and illicit transactions. After dark, lurking undead and creatures from the undercity rise from Deadbridge Chasm, driving cautious residents indoors as a handful of sinister magic-users seek these monsters for dark purposes.

The Orzhov Syndicate controls many warehouses and dominates commerce along Tin Street, while the Golgari Swarm frequently move through the edges of Deadbridge Chasm, the gateway to their vast underground domain. The Boros Legion rents warehouse space for goods from the Smelting Quarter and maintains a garrison at Kamen Fortress to safeguard their interests. The Cult of Rakdos operates numerous pain clubs and thrives on rowdy street performances throughout the precinct, especially near Tin Street.[1]

Precinct Six offers trade goods and artisan tools, but weapons, armor, and mounts are rarely available. Fences dealing in stolen and illicit merchandise operate mainly along Tin Street, where most items can be purchased for the right price. Meals and lodging range from poor to modest, fitting the budgets of laborers and street performers. Wealthy outsiders are generally viewed with suspicion, and the impoverished are often shunned.

Residents tend to be pragmatic and indifferent to minor offenses, leading to a permissive attitude toward crime. Azorius arresters patrol warehouses, while Boros soldiers keep watch in the Smelting Quarter. Organized crime thrives here, especially among goblin gangs led by figures like Krenko on Foundry Street, where violent turf wars erupt. Nighttime monster attacks are frequent, with victims often disappearing into Deadbridge Chasm before help arrives.

Locations

Precinct Six's working-class population lives mostly in modest apartments near their workplaces, sharing the precinct with numerous monsters active at night.

  • Deadbridge Chasm B/G - this vast fissure lined with mossy stairs and fungi serves as an entrance to the Golgari undercity realm and guildhall, Korozda. The scent of decay grows stronger in hot weather, and many kraul dwell within its walls. Devkarin elves use the chasm’s passages to come to the surface and trade on Tin Street.[1]
    • Benzer's Bridge - a key cargo route, Benzer’s Bridge also hosts a small market with shops and restaurants that close after dark. Below the bridge, hidden pain clubs come alive at night, catering to more sinister tastes.[1]
    • Wayport - rising like a pillar from the depths of Deadbridge Chasm, Wayport connects to multiple city levels via bridges. Its warehouses store goods traded through Tin Street, though space here is expensive and reserved for the wealthiest merchants.[1]
  • Kamen Fortress R/W - former headquarters of the Theater of Order. Now a Boros garrison tasked with monitoring Cult of Rakdos activities, resulting in frequent clashes between the Boros Legion, goblins, and Cult of Rakdos.[1]
  • Medori Park W/B - once a city park transformed into warehouse lots by the Orzhov pontiff Medori, Medori Park is now rife with undead at night—both corporeal guardians and rogue spirits. The Orzhov Syndicate owns many warehouses here, while the Boros Legion stores weapons and armor in heavily guarded facilities protected by angels.[1]
  • Shadowfront Alley B/R - known for its prostitutes.[2]
  • Smelting Quarter - this industrial heart of the precinct is smoky, hot, and filled with nonstop activity. Goblins often inhabit the factories on Foundry Street, favoring the chaos over quieter areas. [1]
    • Foundry Street - part of Krenko's territory.[3] This is where a lot of the manufactiring of the Tenth District happens. Workers toil to supply goods for the Ravnican market, and armor and weapons for the Boros.[1]
      • Krenko's Hideout - A large, soot-stained wooded building at the edge of the canal where Krenko has his main safehouse.[1]
    • Gore House B/R - located in a converted factory in the southern Smelting Quarter, the Gore House is a Cult of Rakdos pain club run by the viashino Nyoser. It also conceals the entrance to the Demon's Vestibule, the stairway descending into the undercity of Rix Maadi.[1]
    • Keyhole Downs - a place known for its dishonest merchants. Rumored to have ties with the Rakdos.[4]
  • Tin Street Red mana - this long mercantile street passes through Precinct Six. This part of the street is considered to be the turf of the Shattergang Brothers[1]
  • Falish's Workshop - a tool shop on the Precinct Six secion of the market, run by the renegade Izzet toolsmith Falish, who has connections to Krenko.[1]
    • The Millstone - a seedy tavern that caters to the rogh and rowdy, run by Wyroon, a male minotaur with a cracked horn and a surly disposition who was ousted from the Boros Legion years ago for insubordination.[1]
    • Noggra's Remedies - an apothecary shop run by the female goblin alchemist Noggra, selling alchemical substances and offering healing to injured gang members after their scuffles, occasionally also hiding them from the law.[1]
