Sergeant Bell Borca of the Tenth Leaguehall was a human rookie officer of the Wojek League from Ravnica, placed under the command of Agrus Kos. Borca was killed during a terrorist attack by a Rakdos goblin.[1]

His spirit returned to haunt Kos until the Wojek official managed to stop Szadek's attempt to conquer Ravnica.

History

Bell Borca never chose to be partnered with Agrus Kos. Although Kos is now celebrated as one of the most legendary heroes in Ravnica's history, at the time he was viewed as a worn-out veteran, forced to stay on duty by an overstretched Boros Legion that refused to let him retire. His treatment of his rookie partner was far from kind. Bell Borca also never intended to be caught in the blast of an assassin's bomb—an unfortunate fate shared by others as well. However, Borca did enter into an Orzhov life insurance agreement, which allowed him to return as a ghost to pursue justice for his death, much to the frustration of Agrus Kos. This situation reflected the harsh reality of death on Ravnica during that era, when the souls of the deceased were unable to leave the world of the living. Bell Borca had no say in becoming the only Wojek to investigate his murder, yet when Kos apprehended Szadek during the Decamillennial, Borca was listed as one of the investigators in Kos’s official service record. As a result, Borca is formally recognized as having solved the mystery of his killing.[1][2]

Borca has a niece named Nelly, whom he inspired to join the Legion as well.
