Leonos II is the arbiter of the Sova Column (the judiciary) of the Azorius Senate on Ravnica.[2][3]

Description

Obez Murzeddi had pale skin, a paunch of a belly, and wore blue robes.[2]

History

Born, Obez Murzeddi, Leonos was originally an Azorius ectomancer who served as an anchor of Agrus Kos's ghost to the physical world during the Dissension.[2]

During this short period, he experienced more live action than he ever hoped, and, thanks to the link with Kos, played a crucial role in the birth of the new Ravnica. As almost the whole Senate ruling body was obliterated by Parhelion's fall, the attack of quietmen, and finally the explosion of Parhelion's engine, that erased Prahv from the surface of Ravnica, he became the guild's guildmaster and last Grand Arbiter, taking the name Leonos II.[1]

Approximately 70 years old at the time of the running of the Implicit Maze, Leonos feared the corrupting influence of power that led to Augustin IV's crimes and sought to put a longer-lived being in power as guildmaster. His efforts paid off when Isperia agreed to lead the guild as its Supreme Judge.

Now the arbiter of the guild's judiciary branch, the Sova Column, Leonos is a wise and kind human judge and lawmage who takes pains to consider all perspectives before issuing a judgment - even the perspectives of the spirits of the dead, with whom he can communicate. He is patient and utterly loyal to the guild.
