Vazozav, son of Joxotuxak, was an Izzet League goblin Chief Observer in service of the magelord Zomaj Hauc.[1]

History

Vazozav witnessed several key events in Utvara's recent turbulent history. As a junior researcher, he was present for the first test of Magelord Zomaj Hauc's mana implosion bomb and the creation of the Schism in 9965 ZC, an experiment intended to sterilize the plague-infested Utvara Reclamation Zone while preserving its infrastructure for Orzhov redevelopment. The device did not detonate as planned, instead opening a spatial anomaly later known as the Schism — a rift that began absorbing the ghosts of the recently dead. Vazozav survived the implosion, though most of the nearby Gruul Clans did not.

Twelve years after the Decamillennial, Vazozav was still stationed in Utvara as part of the team maintaining the Cauldron, the massive Izzet geothermal power dome that provided energy to the growing Utvara settlement. Though nominally under Hauc’s command, Vazozav remained skeptical of the magelord's increasingly erratic behavior and shadowy dealings with the Obzedat and the Simic Combine.

He continued to monitor the Cauldron’s operations and the spread of the mutated kuga plague, assisting with technical maintenance and observational reporting. During Hauc’s final gambit to harness the power of trapped souls from the Schism to hatch and control ancient dragon eggs, Vazozav was caught in the catastrophic destruction of the Cauldron. He was only saved thanks to the intervention of Crix, Hauc’s former experimental goblin aide, who had turned against her creator.[1]
