Ferzhin is a minotaur officer of the Boros Legion. She was part of Aurelia's retinue in the lead-up to the War of the Spark.
Description
Appearance
Ferzhin is an older female minotaur who holds the rank of lieutenant in the Boros Legion. She is second in command of the Boros after Aurelia and commander of the armies of the legion. She is notable for her imposing presence, with one of her long horns gleaming dangerously while the other is broken off and capped by a silver stopper. She wears a military uniform and carries herself with a mix of calm authority and readiness for combat.
Personality
Ferzhin is a stern, disciplined, and experienced military leader. She exudes a sense of confidence and authority, often maintaining her silence to observe and assess situations before speaking. When she does speak, it is with a firm conviction and often to cut through the chaos or to assert her point. Her loyalty to the Boros Legion and her commitment to justice are evident in her interactions. Despite her gruff exterior, she shows concern for her comrades, stepping in front of Aurelia during the Isperia assassination chaos to protect her and ensure the safety of her troops after a battle.
History
As Aurelia's lieutenant, Ferzhin participated in high-level discussions between the ten guilds regarding the defense of Ravnica near the War of the Spark. She challenged the Azorius officials, emphasizing the Legion's role in maintaining justice.[1]
Ferzhin later voiced suspicions about potential traps during a strategic meeting with other guild representatives. [2]
Following the assassination of Isperia, Ferzhin demonstrated leadership in the ensuing chaos and took part in a critical council of war planning session.[3]
During the mission to secure a vital node to make Niv-Mizzet the new living Guildpact, Ferzhin led her troops through Gruul territory, anticipating and preparing for an ambush. In the ensuing battle against the Gruul, Ferzhin showed her combat prowess, fighting the Gruul leader Domri Rade directly. Despite being wounded by Domri, she defeated him with a headbutt. After the battle, even while injured, she continued to give orders to secure the area, highlighting her dedication and unyielding spirit.[4]
