Invoker

Invokers are common creature cards with an impactful, repeatable activated ability for eight mana, meant for the late game.[1][2] They were first featured in a cycle in Legions. Another cycle appeared in Rise of the Eldrazi, two cards in Battle for Zendikar, and another cycle in Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate.
The Keepers of Ixalan play in a similar space, costing eight mana but also their sacrifice, as well as the pair of Third Path Savant and Argothian Sprite of The Brothers' War, which have seven-mana activated abilities.

Note
- Dynaheir, Invoker Adept from Baldur's Gate is using “invoker” in the D&D meaning, so it’s not an “invoker” by R&D slang definition.[2] However, the third ability is templated as to benefit Magic invokers.
