Abandon is a keyword action found on scheme cards in the Archenemy format. It is comparable to sacrificing a permanent, except that abandoned schemes are not permanents, return to the bottom of the scheme deck when abandoned, and never leave the command zone.
Schemes begin the game in a deck of at least 20 scheme cards. At the beginning of their first main phase each turn, the archenemy sets in motion the top card in that deck. If the scheme is not ongoing, it has an immediate effect and then returns to the deck as a state-based action. If the scheme is ongoing, instead that scheme remains face-up in the command zone, and continues to influence the game until an effect forces its controller to abandon it.
