Some keywords still exists but got replaced by better concepts and will therefore probably never be reprinted.
- Fading, replaced by Vanishing
- Fear, replaced by Intimidate, replaced by Menace as black/red evergreen evasion ability.
- Shroud, replaced by Hexproof

- Batches, replaced by the the stack.
- Bury, replaced by destroy and sacrifice
- Caster, replaced by Controller
- Casting cost, replaced by mana cost
- CIP, replaced by "enters the battlefield"
- Damage using the stack
- In-play zone, replaced by battlefield

- Mana cost symbols and

- Phase abilities. Some older cards used the phrase “during [phase], [action]. Replaced with abilities that trigger at the beginning of a step or phase.
