Jitka Wothis is a minotaur and wife of Grimbly Wothis.
Description
Jitka Wothis, the wife of Grimbly Wothis, is a minotaur characterized by her imposing physical presence and peculiar domesticity. She has a striking appearance: a thick curly red mane, which she puts rollers in at night, indicating she takes care of her appearance even in private moments. Despite her sleepy, half-aware state when she first entered the kitchen Merret was breaking into, her powerful physique and sharp, toothy yawn suggest she possesses significant physical strength, capable of snapping someone in half if provoked.
Jitka is depicted as a mundane yet menacing presence. Her sleepy demeanor in the kitchen contrasts with the underlying threat her presence implies. She performs everyday tasks like filling a bowl with grass and barley with a casual, almost mechanical routine, showing a side of her life that is surprisingly domestic for a minotaur.
History
Merret snuck into his boss Grimbly Wothis's kitchen where he found a basket of bread and a rack of elixirs. He took a loaf of bread and decided to try an "Elixir of Focus," hoping it would help improve his magic and standing. As he took a few drops, the lights turned on, and the elixir spilled on him. Jitka, half-asleep and wearing rollers and a robe, entered. Using magic, Merret became invisible to Jitka, who was close to touching them but remained unaware of his presence.
Later, Kodolaag and Olrich met with Lucinka, who provided them with a box of items necessary for a mission to free Zita from prison. They were instructed to visit Udzec and follow a specific plan, which involved getting in line behind a minotaur with curly red hair.
At Udzec, they found the minotaur with red curls and got in line behind her, exactly as planned. This minotaur was none other than Jitka. The box contained a half-bottle of whiskey, a child's romper, and an amulet with bloodfray magic. Realizing the difficulty of sneaking the amulet past the nullmages, Kodolaag convinced Olrich to wear the romper and swallow the amulet.
Kodolaag then placed the whiskey bottle in Jitka's hood, who became angry when it was discovered during her inspection. The nullmages were distracted by Jitka's outburst, allowing Kodolaag and Olrich to pass through the inspection with Olrich disguised as a child.
They nearly escaped, but Jitka recognized them and alerted the mages. A vampire also corroborated her accusation, and the protagonist and Olrich were bound by magic and shipped off to a new prison under construction.
