The Teratogens constitute a class of the Golgari elite on Ravnica; the other classes being the Devkarin and the humans.[1] Up until the Decamillennial, the teratogens were the ruling class. Afterward, however, the Devkarin took over.
Teratogens can essentially come from any background conceivable, though they consist primarily of non-humanoids such as plants, mutants, harpies, nagas, griffins, and centaurs.

- In the sciences, specifically developmental biology, a "teratogen" is an agent that can cause malformations of an embryo or fetus. This can be a chemical substance, a virus, or ionizing radiation.
