Izoni is an elven champion of the Golgari Swarm on Ravnica.
History
Izoni became Matka of the Devkarin after the suspicious death of her predecessor, Zdenia.[1] lzoni is known for her ability to control insects and spiders, and she is never encountered without the company of one or more swarms of insects crawling over and around her. When she walks, she appears to glide over the ground.
During the War of the Spark, Izoni was present in the Golgari meeting with Kaya's group as one of the members who could take over Golgari's leadership,[2] when Vraska showed up and reclaimed her leadership Izoni was the most begrudging to accept her authority.[3]
Feeling threatened by Izoni's lust for power, Vraska tricked the Devkarin huntmaster Myczil Savod Zunich and the shaman Cevraya into thinking that Izoni had tried to kill Myczil with poisonous spiders.[4] Both Myzcil and Cevraya consequently accepted the protection of Vraska.
