The Far Corner is the part of Towashi that juts the furthest out into the Jukai, part of modern-day Kamigawa.

Description

The Far Corner is a neighborhood on the border between Towashi City and Jukai forest. In the past, it was a village belonging to the Jukai forest, but it was eventually built into the city of Towashi. It juts into the Jukai, which surrounds it on two sides, and directly borders the Go-Shintai of Boundless Vigor shrine which is placed at the end of Far Corner.[1]

History

Over the years, the Far Corner's Go-Shintai shrine became a site of reverence and conflict. The shrine's kami, initially dormant, whispered enigmatic dreams to its followers, creating tension with Chishiro, a protector hired to defend the village from the Mukotai Reckoners. This fragile balance was shattered when the Reckoner Tatsunari attacked the shrine, awakening the wrathful kami. Its destructive power, reminiscent of Chishiro’s tormented past, unleashed chaos upon Far Corner.[1]

In the turmoil, Chishiro confronted Tatsunari while also facing the haunting reappearance of his former kami, Kaima. Both Chishiro and Kaima grappled with their shared anguish, betrayal, and longing for redemption. Chishiro offered Kaima his blade as an act of surrender and hope, and Kaima chose a path of renewal, allowing their conflict to transform into the possibility of reconciliation. Together, they departed from the ruins of Far Corner and the shattered shrine.[1]
