Towazu (toh-WAH-zoo)[1], the Unspeakable, is the kami of the Forbidden on Kamigawa.
History
Towazu is the great kami of things unspeakable. It was summoned by students at the Minamo school and afterward began appearing before great seekers of knowledge and owners of arcane scrolls, leaving their owners comatose or insane with the arcane knowledge it imparted.[2]
Lady Azami Ozu warned that learning any part of Towazu's name will invite obsession, followed by paranoia and madness as more is learned.

Trivia
- In the Japanese translation, Towazu is called Iwazu (忌話図). Additionally, its legendary creature card includes its proper name and is called Iwazu, the Unspeakable (語られざるもの、忌話図) rather than merely "The Unspeakable."
