While initially successful, the group soon came up against the corrupt nature of life on Cappena and was forced to turn to crime to survive. A series of setbacks with the group's living situation led Shadress to suggest they buy a building but the loan required increasing their rate of theft. A failed robbery on a Brokers-controlled train left the group poor and splintering. Shadress, suffering from depression at the loss of the group's ideals, withdrew and faded away. Yuma speculated that Shadress had died when he noticed Elnor was fighting in a similar style to Shadress during their brawl in his bar. | |
