Croag was a Phyrexian member of Yawgmoth's Inner Circle, and worked as the lord over the Evincar of Rath.[1]
Description
Croag had a semblance of skin - gray-sheened and stretched tight over ropy wire-braided muscles and a cleft skull. Small on an otherwise large frame, the cleft skull looked out with eye sockets capped by protective shields, a burning red glow lighting them up from within. Sharpened teeth bared in a frozen maniacal grin full of gaps. His skeletal hands had razor-sharp fingers and were corded with muscles of metallic fiber, and he had sharp spiked points protruding from his elbows. His body was a meld of machine and flesh, with one real arm and one of metal framework and corded muscle grafted back into place. Grillwork replaced his mouth and covered the bone ridges of what must have once been ears. [1]
History
Croag was the overseer of Rath and was the one that, along with Davvol, brought Dominarian populations to Rath.[1]
Croag attempted to find Gatha and uncover his progress in the Bloodline Project, but he was seriously wounded by Kreig of Keld in a battle. He took a long time to recover from that wound, during which Davvol devised ways to get rid of him. When Croag had recovered, he defeated Davvol's negator and trapped Davvol in the Death Pits of Rath of the Stronghold. General Croag's task was also to find and kill Urza.
