Tenoch is a Nacatl leonin on Alara, and former tribemate of Ajani and Jazal Goldmane.
History
When Tenoch and Qala were assigned to patrol with Ajani, they protested, saying he was jinxed, and describing him as "white as death". But Ajani's brother Jazal Goldmane was the kha of their tribe, and his word was final. While they were out patrolling together, they were spotted by a band of human hunters. Usually, the Leonin and humans of Naya are not on hostile terms, but the humans wanted to claim Ajani's white hide, so they attacked. Outnumbered, the three Leonin ran for it, but when Tenoch stumbled and fell and Qala stopped to help him up, the humans continued past them, hunting Ajani specifically. Rather than run after them, Tenoch and Qala stayed behind, abandoning Ajani to his fate. [1]
