Melissa "Mel" Li, also known as Mell Ell, is a former Magic creative writer at Wizards of the Coast. Mel started working at Wizards in April 2015. She left to become a senior narrative writer for Riot Games in March 2017.[1]
Mel studied bioengineering and biomedicical technology at Berkeley and Georgia Tech. Since 2013 she has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Washington. She is also an illustrator, creative designer, and a known cosplayer.
Li's last contribution for Wizards of the Coast was as creative lead for Battlebond.[2]
