Nazir was the Felonarch of Inys Nohr, and direct descendant of Nohr.[1]

Description

Nazir had black eyes. As a descendant of Nohr, Nazir was a weatherworker, able to sense changes in seasons and weather patterns.[1]

History

Nazir's father Crephas held to his throne for an exceptionally long time despite his insanity, but eventually, he and his father (Nazir's grandfather) killed each other, leaving Nazir to inherit the throne of Inys Nohr at twenty years of age, to oversee a sprawling, sickened, unwieldy kingdom far beyond its ability to either support or heal itself.

By the time he was 29, Nazir was on the brink of insanity, quickly worsening and in higher need of Malvos's remedies. Desperate to obtain the firesword from Inys Haen, Nazir arranged to abduct Keeper Logan and his daughter Aylith. Since Nazir had no children of his own, he would likely be the last Felonarch of Inys Nohr.[1]

Nazir ruled over a crumbling domain plagued by poverty, disease, and the curse that afflicted his bloodline. When his soldiers raided Inys Haen, aiming to capture the Keeper and force the Awakening Ritual upon his land, they failed to bring back the Keeper alive but returned with his young daughter, Aylith. Upon her arrival, Nazir disguised himself as a servant to interrogate Aylith, uncovering that she carried the Memories of the Clan Tree of Cridhe. He enchanted her to extract this knowledge, while rebellion simmered within his city. As the Walking Plague spread and the oppressed mirkalbion slaves revolted, Nazir promised the mob either an Awakening or the execution of Aylith's cousin Jedhian. When Aylith revealed herself, she attempted to shield herself with magic, but Nazir struck her down with the Soulslayer. Her comatose body was carried away by the elf Feryar as chaos erupted.

With his city collapsing into rebellion, Nazir abandoned his fortress and led his best warriors in an assault on Inys Haen, hoping to complete the Awakening before his enemies could stop him. However, Aylith, having survived and undergone a spiritual healing in the hidden elven sanctuary of Loch Prith, pursued him. At Inys Haen, the Far Clans and the Nohrish rebels clashed, while Nazir was ultimately captured. As he lay frozen and near death at the entrance to Loch Prith, Aylith, tempted to end his life, instead chose to heal him of his madness and addiction. Freed from his corruption, Nazir assisted in performing the Awakening Ritual alongside Aylith, causing the Mending of the Clan Tree. As the sun returned to the land for the first time in generations, the warring factions ceased their battle, and a new sapling Clan Tree took root, restoring balance to the plane. Stripped of power but redeemed, Nazir helped carry the exhausted Aylith back to safety, marking the end of his reign and the beginning of a new era for Inys Nohr.[1]
