General Stonebrow, previously known as Bron, and Face of Stone according to Averru's Glyphs, was the leader of the Cailgreth centaurs from the Krosan forest of Otaria on Dominaria.[1]

Description

After being morphed by Kamahl, Stonebrow was a giant among centaurs, his ribcage like that of an ox, his shoulders wide like a beam, and his muscles strong like iron. His arms could shatter boulders, and his legs could topple trees. His fur was a pelt that could turn arrows, and had a red cast which evidenced the red magic that had been used to transform him. He was not just huge, but filled with fiery fury.[2]

History

Stonebrow was Kamahl's right hand after the death of the centaur elder Seton at the hands of the dementia summoner Braids. When Kamahl went to Aphetto to reclaim his sister Jeska, he used the Mirari to amplify the creatures of the Krosan Forest, which included the rest of the Caligreth Centaur tribe. Stonebrow served as the general of the strange army brought to Aphetto and fought in the Nightmare War,[2] after which he and Zagorka, fleeing the war together along the Corian Escarpment, discovered the ancient lost city of Sanctum.[3]

For a long time, Stonebrow was the steward of Topos in Akroma's absence, but he abandoned the post after becoming disgusted with himself for conspiring to slay the wounded angel and the pregnant Phage. Stonebrow carried the axe Soul Reaper, which he gave back to Kamahl after leaving Sanctum. Kamahl then used Soul Reaver to cleave Phage, Akroma, and Zagorka in a single blow, thus creating the false god Karona. Stonebrow witnessed the Rebirth of Karona, and though he was very close to the epicenter of it, he survived, albeit with two broken legs.[1] [3]

Since he was unable to reach Karona, his worship of her faded when she left Averru city. Instead, he stayed behind and was recruited into the forces of Averru, joining in the last battle against Karona's War at that site. Although he was once again blasted into a wall, he survived, and thereafter traveled with fellow survivor Kamahl on a meandering through the lands of Otaria.[4]

He was timeshifted to the post-apocalyptic era for a time.
