Information
Plane Dominaria
Part of Krosa, Otaria

Gorgon Mount was a corrupt hill growing in the Krosan forest on the continent Otaria on Dominaria.

History

Created during the Battle for the Mirari on the site of the death of Laquatus, pinned through by the Mirari sword, the area was initially flat. After a short time, however, the land started swelling, mutating both the plants and the animals nearby. After Kamahl had attempted to reclaim the Mirari once, he was tracked by the the First of the Cabal, who put his corruption into the swelling hill. It was at this time that Gorgon Mount received its name, not from the presence of any gorgons, but from the way it looked like a giant gorgon's head, with ropy plants hanging down from the top of the hill like a gorgon's tendrils. By the time of the Nightmare War, Gorgon Mount had become a dark and twisted place, its plants and animals mutating into large and twisted versions of their former selves.[1]
