Background
The character of You was created by Wizards of the Coast for a Mystery Booster 2 test card. Liliana's Other Contract, a reference to Liliana Vess, is a double-faced enchantment with the effect of preventing losing the game and instead causing the card to flip over into Liliana's Undead Minion which has the type of You. This represents Liliana reviving the player as her undead minion to continue playing. The card prevents the player from losing the game and has loyalty abilities for causing other players to lose life and destroy creatures.
The 2023 Las Vegas Unknown Event featured a legendary creature called You, Magic Playtester, representing the player. This card was reprinted with functional differences as You, Iterative Playtester at 2025's Chicago Unknown Event.
