Ish Sah, the Vault of Whispers, used to be the dwelling place of Geth on Mirrodin,[1] as well as other Moriok and necromancers.
Description
Ish Sah was a giant chimney[2], once the stronghold of a long-forgotten human warlord.[3] It was shaped like a cone-like mountain with a circular hole towards the middle and an opening at the top that spew necrogen mist. The top of the huge chimney was shrouded in the ever-present haze of the Mephidross. A viscous purple and green liquid cascaded down one side of the Vault from somewhere within the haze. The rest of the Vault was etched, as if by acid, with a web of interconnecting lines and swirls. The Vault pulsed, much like the chimneys, throughout the etched web-work, giving the feeling that the Vault somehow was alive.[2]
Geth controlled the nim from here, though it also was a place of study for the dark arts and a lodge for Moriok artificers. Those who stayed here were known as Disciples.
It housed the Black Lacuna.[4]
After the Mephidross was siphoned of into the Dross Pits, Geth's fortress, possibly the former Ish Sah, was a colossal structure of black bone and red sinew towering above the layer.[5]
