Scars of Mirrodin block
The Scars of Mirrodin block is the seventeenth Block in Magic history and consists of the large expansion Scars of Mirrodin () and the two small expansions Mirrodin Besieged () and New Phyrexia ().[1][2]

Watermarks
The block describes the conflict between two major factions - one being Mirrodin, and the other being the invading forces of Phyrexia. Cards aligned with these two factions are watermarked.[7] The ratio of Phyrexian to Mirran cards significantly changes in favor of Phyrexia with the procession of the sets.[8][9][10]
