Medev was a Neurok settlement of tin on the metal shores of the Quicksilver Sea of Mirrodin.
Description
The village was populated by fisherfolk and ruled by the mage Bruenna. Here, the Vedalken obtained servants, enslaving the Neurok people to work for the Vedalken Empire.[1]
History
When Glissa, Slobad, and Bosh arrived in Medev, they attempted to lure information out of the village's leader, Bruenna, but she quickly found them out. The village was then attacked by aerophin, and Bruenna and Glissa fought together to stop them. Although Bruenna knew the risks, she reluctantly agreed to aid them, smuggling them to Lumengrid aboard a metal tank.[2]
Bruenna later returned to the village, having earned Memnarch's ire. Participating in the defense against the vedalken attempting to kidnap Glissa, Bruenna was partly responsible for stopping Pontifex, leading to his death and the disruption of Memnarch's plans to ascend as a planeswalker during the creation of the green moon. Memnarch sent levelers and aerophins to Medev, destroying the village and killing all its inhabitants save Bruenna herself, who managed to flee to the Tangle and receive aid from Glissa.[3]
