Stationed at Conqueror's Foothold to administer last rites, she secretly turned against the fort's cruel overseer, Vona de Iedo, after uncovering her plan to seize the Hierophant's Chalice — a legendary artifact hidden in the Temple of Aclazotz by the prophet Arguel. Stealing Vona's treasure map, Alante freed the fort's condemned prisoners to help her reach the temple first. Guided by an enthralled Mavren Fein, they braved the jungle, defeated the demon Zotz, and reclaimed the chalice from Arguel's corpse.
