Nezahal, "the surging ocean,"[1] "the elder of the tides,"[1] is an aquatic elder dinosaur from Ixalan.
Description
Nezahal has a long, whip-like body.[1]
History
The opening of the golden city revealed the enormous elder dinosaurs, which were held in stasis during Orazca's long hibernation in the earth. Each of these monsters embodies one aspect of the magic of the land: the aquatic Nezahal is a manifestation of blue mana and the devouring depths of the sea.[2]
During the New Phyrexian Invasion, Nezahal and the other Elder Dinosaurs were summoned by Huatli to battle the intruders.[1]
