Inti, called the seneschal of the sun, was an imperial officer of the Sun Empire on Ixalan, and a human knight. He was the cousin of Huatli, and brother to multiple sisters.

Description

Inti was tall, muscular, and even-tempered, radiating calm and amusement. He was a dinosaur knight of the Sun Empire, and carried a shield and a broad, long sword. He spoke the language of the Sun Empire, but not that of Torrezon. He was the same age as his cousin, Huatli.

History

Inti participated in the defense of Orazca during New Phyrexia's Invasion of the Multiverse, receiving a head wound but surviving the battle.

When Huatli led an expedition into the Core of Ixalan, Inti was one of the warriors who accompanied her. After the soldiers of the Queen's Bay Company freed the bat god Aclazotz and were transformed by his powers, Inti participated in a battle with them in the core. Though he was able to wound Clavileño, splitting the vampire demon's ear, in response the vampire snapped his neck, killing him. After his death, his spirit became an Echo contained in the cosmium crystal affixed to the pommel of his sword, which was given by Huatli to Wayta.

Inspiration

Inti is named after the Inca sun god of the same name, who was worshiped in three aspects and likely inspired the Threefold Sun.
