Xolatoyac, "the Smiling Flood," is a salamander serpent in Ixalan's Core.
Trivia
Xolatoyac's name is a combination of the Huichol Nahuatl words xolotl ("monster") + atoyac ("a place in a river"), intended to mean "monster from the river."[1] The first word is also used in axolotl, the type of salamander on which Xolatoyac's design is based.
