Mardia is a vampire cleric stationed at Adanto, the First Fort, part of the Legion of Dusk on Ixalan.

Description

Mardia is a dedicated priest at Fort Adanto, characterized by her somber and authoritative demeanor. She wears traditional clerical robes, practical yet indicative of her high-ranking position within the fort's religious hierarchy. Mardia's face is stern yet compassionate, framed by dark hair usually tied back to keep it out of her way during her duties.

Mardia is a steadfast individual, deeply committed to her faith and duties. She exudes a calm authority, showing empathy and understanding even in the most dire circumstances. Her loyalty to her faith and the fort's community is unwavering, and she approaches her responsibilities with a practical and hands-on attitude. Mardia can remain composed under pressure and willing to face danger head-on, demonstrating her courage and dedication to the Legion of Dusk.

History

Mardia responded to the desperate cries of a crazed, starving vampire outside Fort Adanto. She made her way to the gate and engaged with the vampire, attempting to understand his situation. Recognizing him as Hierophant Mavren Fein, she instructed the guards to open the gate, allowing him inside despite the evident danger he posed. When Mavren Fein attempted to attack the guards in a frenzy, Mardia intervened, pinning him to the ground and preventing further violence. She led him to a cell, arranging for a criminal named Manuel to break his Blood Fast. Mardia oversaw the aftermath of the incident when Mavren tore down the wall between the cells and drank Manuel's blood. Mardia addressed Mavren Fein with humility once he regained his wits, and ensured he received the necessary resources to continue his mission.
