Omenpath Arc

Kellan enters an Omenpath.

The Omenpath Arc is the one-year storyline that deals with the aftermath of New Phyrexia's Invasion of the Multiverse, the consequences of the Desparkening, and the opening of the Omenpaths.[1] Specifically, the story follows Kellan - the non-planeswalker, half-fae, and half-human son of Oko - as he travels across Eldraine, Ixalan, Ravnica, and Thunder Junction in search of his father via Omenpaths.[2][3][4][5] As such, he appears once in every set in this arc. The arc also secretly features Jace Beleren - masquerading as Ashiok - and Vraska, as they begin their plot to recreate the multiverse using the Coin Empire's technology and other remnants.[6]

It is the first part of a three-year story arc codenamed Metronome.[7] Metronome is Magic's fourth modern major story arc after the Eldrazi Arc, the Bolas Arc, and the Phyrexian Arc.

Description

The Omenpath Arc started in September 2023 and features the following sets: Wilds of Eldraine, The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, Murders at Karlov Manor, Outlaws of Thunder Junction, and The Big Score. While not containing story elements, Alchemy: Eldraine, Alchemy: Ixalan, Alchemy: Karlov Manor, and Alchemy: Thunder Junction are set within the Omenpath Arc.

In-universe, the arc takes place over roughly a year and a half.[8]

The storyline of Metronome is continued in the Dragonstorm Arc.[7]

Four Legendary Human Faeries that have Adventures or synergize with Adventures, a mechanic which originated in Throne of Eldraine. They represent the Eldraine denizen Kellan and his journey across various planes during the Omenpath Arc. On each plane, he retains a color from his previous card and gains a new one, starting from a monocolored {R} creature and progressively becoming a multicolored {G}{W}{U} creature over the arc, as a reflection of his character development.
