Metronome
Metronome is the codename for a three-year story arc running from Wilds of Eldraine through Reality Fracture. It consists of the Omenpath Arc, the Dragonstorm Arc, and one other unnamed story arc.[1] Metronome takes place after the Phyrexian Arc and centers on Jace Beleren's attempt to fix the Multiverse.
Omenpath Arc
Metronome begins with the Omenpath Arc, which consists of the sets Wilds of Eldraine, The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, Murders at Karlov Manor, and Outlaws of Thunder Junction.[1] This arc introduces Kellan, who travels the Multiverse via Omenpaths in search of his father Oko. The storyline deals with the consequences of the New Phyrexian Invasion, including the Desparkening and the emergence of Omenpaths.
Dragonstorm Arc
The Dragonstorm Arc consists of the sets Bloomburrow, Duskmourn: House of Horror, Aetherdrift, and Tarkir: Dragonstorm.[1] Dragonstorms run wild on the plane of Tarkir, unleashing dragons on other planes through Omenpaths. Meanwhile, Jace and Vraska travel the Multiverse with Loot. The arc concludes with Jace's apparent death as he attempts to enact his plan in the Meditation Realm.
Final arc
Metronome's final storyline arc consists of Edge of Eternities, Lorwyn Eclipsed, Secrets of Strixhaven, and the climactic event set Reality Fracture.[1]
