Burrenton is the name of a moderately-sized outlying kithkin clachan in Lorwyn and the pastures around it.[1] It is near Spinerock Knoll.
Description
Burrenton is a clachan of smiths. Its forge fires never need stoking, sustaining themselves on harvested oak and birch timbers from the border forests and a seasoning of pebbles from Spinerock Knoll.[2] Its denizens once faced the encroachment of a nearby flamekin settlement.[3] Forty years later, they trade with their flamekin neighbors.[4]
In modern times, Burrenton is best known for its engineering and alchemy. Inventors, smiths, and alchemists produce a host of wonders, including fantastic flying machines and a substance called bottled fire.[5] As an inventors’ hub, Burrenton hosts a bustling community gathering space called the Aeghith. This large building hosts events like invention fairs, professional gatherings, and guild meetings at least once per fortnight. Weddings, parties, and holiday celebrations also take place in between.[5]
Notable citizens
- The clachan's first cenn was a Knight of Meadowgrain.
- At the time of the Great Aurora, the cenn of Burrenton was Deagan.
