Lys Alana is the capital settlement of the Gilt-Leaf tribe of Lorwyn elves in the Gilt-Leaf Wood.
Description
Lys Alana is an elegant city built into the majestic trees of the ancient Gilt-Leaf Wood.[1][2] High balconies and wooden boardwalks lead from tree to tree, with doors set into the trunks of trees. Everything in this multi-tiered community is made of gilded wood, and carvings cover all surfaces. It is home to about 500 residents, most of whom are elves. The city's leader is Perfect Gecoran.
The city was a site of permanent residence of many elves of the Perfect and Exquisite class, including high-ranked officers like taercenn Nath. Another known inhabitant was Eidren, a Perfect from Lys Alana, known for his skills in shaping living trees and wood, who was planned to marry Peradala, a perfect of the Mornsong tribe. Rhys, the former daen of the Hemlock pack of the Gilt-Leaf hunters, also has a residence in Lys Alana.
The palace of the Gilt-Leaf king and queen, Dawn's Light Palace is located in Lys Alnana.[3][4][5] It is the most glorious elvish gathering place in the Gilt-Leaf Wood. This palace is where elvish courtiers and aristocrats come to see and be seen and to discuss ways to expand elven influence in Lorwyn. It is the pinnacle of elvish beauty and perfection, flawlessly integrated with nature. As of around 4564 AR, it is the last elven palace in Lorwyn, and is home to High Perfect Morcant, ruler of the Gilt-Leaf tribe.[6][1]
