Jugan, the Rising Star (Japanese: (じゅ) (がん) ; literally: "Jeweled Eye"), was the great ryuu (divine dragon) of Kamigawa's forests. In particular, he was primarily the guardian of Jukai Forest.

During the Kami War, Jugan was summoned by the Fudaiju Monks and later by the orochi along with the Myojin of Life's Web. Eventually he died and passed his strength on to the monks.
