Toxrill is a monstrous slug horror revered as a divine figure within Nephalia, located on the plane of Innistrad.
History
Among the many cults in Nephalia, the longstanding rivalry between the Temple of Toxrill and the Spawn of Grolnok is one of the oldest and most intense. When the Spawn of Grolnok allegedly summoned an avatar of their god, the Temple of Toxrill responded by performing a secretive ancient rite combined with enchantments that amplified size and power. This ritual was conducted on a slug infused with demon blood, resulting in the creation of Toxrill — a massive, rapidly reproducing horror that immediately consumed half of the temple itself shortly after its manifestation. The survivors and remaining followers of Toxrill now eagerly await a confrontation between their creation and the monstrous avatar conjured by the Spawn of Grolnok.[1]
