Marycz was an Angel from Innistrad who fell foul of Shilgengar's Ritual.
History
After the demon Shilgengar manipulated the aging human alchemist Edgar Markov into experimenting with blood magic as famine swept the land, Marycz was captured, dragged into Edgar's library, and exsanguinated. In Shilgengar's Ritual, she was bled dry, and her blood was infused with magic, which was then distributed to the nobility of Innistrad, turning them into immortal vampires.[1]
