Henrika Domnathi, also known by the title Infernal Seer, is recognized as the founder of the lesser-known Domnathi vampire bloodline on Innistrad. She is rumored to have once been romantically involved with Griselbrand.[1]
Description
Henrika presents as a strikingly tall and slender woman, most often seen wearing flowing, elegant gowns. She is infamous for her sympathies toward demonkind and openly acknowledges that she feeds on demon blood to sustain herself.[1] In addition to her vampiric abilities, she can transform into a swirling gray mist, making her elusive and difficult to capture.[2]
The Domnathi bloodline has long been associated with making pacts with demons, trading favors and services for access to potent demonic blood. Because of the power their magic wields, the more prominent vampire bloodlines regard the Domnathi as dangerously volatile, leading to numerous historic purges aimed at their destruction. Despite this, Henrika remains the leader of the surviving Domnathi vampires and keeps a grim ledger of her enemies, their names penned in vengeful crimson close to her heart.[3]
History
Following the onset of The Travails, Henrika refused to honor the pact that Olivia Voldaren had made with the human factions. In her campaign to expand power, she sought to raise a force of unholy cathar warriors for Ormendahl and successfully turned Commander Odric into a vampire, subverting his loyalty.[2]
After the Travails, Olivia Voldaren showed interest in Domnathi sorcery and even extended an invitation to Henrika to attend her wedding, attempting to foster peace between their factions. However, during the wedding ceremony between Olivia and Edgar Markov, Henrika responded violently to an insult from Relio Voldaren, ending his life on the spot.[1]
