Gutmorn, also known as the Feaster Upon Souls and Tormentor of the Seven Princes, is a demon of Innistrad. He is a Nightreach demon of the Devrik Depths in Davriel Cane's retinue.[1]

Description

Gutmorn is one of Davriel Cane's bound demons, contracted for a share of Davriel's soul - should Davriel live long enough for the deal to mature. He appears alongside other demons in Davriel's service, including Crunchgnar, Brerig, and his claimed sister, Yledris. He and Yledris are lightly armored Nightreach demons with enormous wings, skeletal features, long goatlike legs, and twisted horns, appearing far less human than Davriel's other servants. Gutmorn and Yledris Bloodslave claim to be brother and sister, created on the same day. Gutmorn and Yledris often serve as Davriel's scouts and aerial guards. They watch for threats and attack from above when necessary.[1]

History

During the assault on the Verlasen church, Gutmorn was wounded by a crossbow bolt while defending Davriel Cane from a group of demon hunters. Despite his injury, Gutmorn fought fiercely, spearing enemies in close combat and striking fear into the intruders.[1]

When Yledris was killed by a pyromancer's flames, Gutmorn mourned her openly, gathering her charred skull and showing a rare glimpse of grief that hinted at his lingering, if twisted, humanity. After the battle, Gutmorn limped away with Yledris's remains to tend his wounds and warn Davriel's household of the escaped hunters.[1]
