The Lord of Tresserhorn, was an undead replacement for Lim-Dûl, created by Chaeska after Lim-Dûl's Battle.[1][2]
Description
The Lord of Tresserhorn was almost as tall as Chaeska but thinner, more akin to a panther when compared to the keeper’s rhinoceros bulkiness. His flesh was a pebbled gray, and he wore a maroon robe and a slate-gray mantle. His head was topped with a helm from which jutted rust-tinged blades in a sharp crown, and his eyes were feral. The skin was no more than a mask with bits of flesh pasted upon it in a parody of humanity. In the right light, it might look a bit like Lim-Dul, if the right light was a candle at fifty paces.[2]
History
After Leshrac took Lim-Dûl with him to Shandalar at the end of Lim-Dûl's Battle with the Kjeldorans and Balduvians, Chaeska, now masterless, set to create a new Lord of Tresserhorn, to keep the undead of Tresserhorn from rebelling. Created through Chaeska's limited necromancy, the Lord of Tresserhorn was built from the flesh and bone of a dozen Kjeldoran heroes. He never slept, and spent his days recounting his deeds in service to Lim-Dûl.[1][2]
Upon Jodah and Jaya's return to Tresserhorn, the Lord of Tresserhorn attacked them. Jodah quickly set up several defenses, but the zombie destroyed them all. In reprisal, Jodah then destroyed the Lord of Tresserhorn to avoid a large axe blow to the head. Mourning the loss, Chaeska swore to keep Tresserhorn's armies at bay and to keep Jaya and Jodah from harm if he was let in peace and allowed to rebuild the Lord of Tresserhorn, and the two mages agreed.[2]
It is unknown if Chaeska ever did manage to recreate the Lord, but in time, the keep of Tresserhorn fell beneath the waves of the rising Sea of Laments, and its Lord and Keeper likely fell with it.
