The Shattered Alliance

Alexandrite was the daughter of the Kjeldoran king Darien the Great. She was born in the first period of the Thaw of Dominaria.[1]

Description

In 2954 AR, Alexandrite was a young woman. She was broad-shouldered, as the Kjeldorans tended to be, with long brown hair that cascaded down beneath her simple royal circlet. She was dressed in a red gown with a mantle of blue and gold embroidery, held together at the neck by a great golden hoop and pin. Her forehead was unblemished with worry, but the depths of her eyes burned with the same fire as King Darien’s.[1]

History

Alexandrite's mother, King Darien's first wife, died when Alexandrite was five years old. Darien remarried after his wife's death, but his second wife died from one of Krov's many plagues.[1]

In early adulthood, Alexandrite received Jodah and Jaya Ballard from her throne alongside her father when the wizard duo visited Kjeld. She showed them to the remnants of Gustha Ebbasdotter's old materials and then hosted them at a banquet. When Jaya caught a plague and fell sick, Alexandrite brought her and Jodah to Lovisa Coldeyes' camp in the mountains flying on aesthirs. This is where she met Lovisa's son Lothar Lovisason. Although their first meeting was tense and full of mutual enmity, the two of them together went on a flight north to get aid from the Blue Storm clan against the camp's besiegers. Alexandrite and Lothar later fell in love, and they stood as the founders of the fledgling nation of New Argive when their nations joined together.[1]
