The Goblin Rocketeers is a racing team from an unknown plane that competed in the Ghirapur Grand Prix. It is made up from the the most clever and daring Goblins.[1]
Description
The goblins known as the Rocketeers first appeared on Avishkar after traveling from an unknown plane that was only momentarily connected to Avishkar through a temporary Omenpath.[2] Redshift, who serves as the current co-captain of the Rocketeers, holds the conviction that their arrival was no mere accident or chance slip through an Omenpath. Instead, he believes that he and his crew achieved their original mission objective: to surpass the velocity barrier that confines the BOOSTGOD and prevents it from freely traversing the Multiverse.
Their journey was a remarkable success, fueled by the most powerful rockets ever constructed by goblinkind.[2] These rockets propelled them beyond the skies of their home plane and into the wider cosmos. The mission was fraught with danger, not only due to the sheer power and speed of their vessels but because they were defying a velocity limit set by the BOOSTGOD's eternal adversary—a mysterious dead-stop deity whose true name is forbidden to be spoken.
By overcoming this invisible and lethal threshold, Redshift and his crew effectively broke through an enforced speed boundary and traveled through a fleeting Omenpath, arriving safely on Avishkar.[2] Their daring feat stands as a testament to their bravery and the exceptional engineering of their rocket technology.
Initially lost and confused by the chaos of Ghirapur, Redshift and his Rocketeers found community among the racers and gearheads orbiting the Ghirapur Grand Prix.[2] There was something familiar to them: worship of the BOOSTGOD, even if the other racers did not know his name and a plentiful fuel supply. They abandoned their initial mission of exploration beyond the velocity limit. They mounted a new campaign funded in large part by their adoptive benefactor and unofficial co-captain, Daretti, to win the Grand Prix. The former planeswalker bankrolled the team in the hopes of discovering a new means of interplanar travel after the loss of his spark.[3]
Thanks to their powerful engines, the Rocketeers stayed at the head of the pack throughout the first three legs of the race, but this was to their detriment in the third leg through Muraganda, when they were the first to cross a trap laid on the course by saurid raiders.[4]
Vehicles
Rocketeer vehicles are outfitted with twelve-chamber engines for even the smallest ride, custom pictograph control schemes, and no less than twenty payloads of cherry bombs for each goblin.[5] Daretti himself piloted an all-terrain tank.
