The Araba (Japanese: 荒場; literally: "Wasteland") was a region within the Towabara Plains, on which Eiganjo Castle stood. It was devastated in the Kami War, and this devastation is reflected in the meaning of its' name: "ruined land".[1]

Reito was a decimated, abandoned human city on the Araba where the kami first attacked the people of the material world. Its' name reflected this, meaning “ghost city” or “city of spirits.”
