Zulaport is a coastal city on the island of Beyeen, part of Ondu on the plane of Zendikar.[1]
Description
Before the rise of the Eldrazi, Zulaport was a modest but bustling port city on Beyeen’s coast, inhabited by a transient community of mages, explorers, and artisans of many races and origins.[2] Its thriving economy was controlled by the powerful vampire Indorel, who maintained her grip through a network of goblin, human, and ogre thugs. Under Indorel’s influence, all trade passing through Beyeen paid her tribute.
When the Eldrazi awoke, devastation struck the city in the form of a massive tsunami that swallowed much of Zulaport. In the aftermath, merfolk from nearby communities helped rebuild Zulaport as a floating settlement anchored along Beyeen’s rugged coastline. Today, Zulaport survives as a vital outpost for traders and a resupply station for expeditions across the Bay of Beyeen and the Silundi Sea. Although Indorel still lurks in the shadows of Zulaport’s floating docks, her stranglehold on its commerce has been broken.
