Thada Adel is a merfolk rogue from Zendikar and leader of the Tikal Harborage.
History
Thada Adel's greatest enemy is someone who shares her goals as well as her skills: Noyan Dar, leader of Coralhelm Refuge. The two merfolk first crossed paths when Thada Adel was studying at the Enclave, and Noyan Dar attempted to recruit her into his circle of cronies. The younger merfolk took an instant dislike to him, which has persisted through the years since. They have often found themselves in conflict over information or ancient artifacts, and both harbor bitter grudges.[1]
Thada Adel now leads the largest of the merfolk outposts known as the Tikal Harborage, a half-submerged settlement upriver from Sea Gate. There, she directs the efforts of merfolk mages who study and experiment with hedrons pulled from Emeria to power spells that repel the Eldrazi and create a relatively safe refuge. As a former adventurer, she shares her extensive knowledge of Tazeem’s ancient ruins with explorers in exchange for information they uncover — and a cut of any profits.[2]
